Family Futures Summit 2025.

In September 2025, seventy parents, industry leaders and creative organisations came together in Cardiff to explore what it really takes to combine work and care in the screen sector.

The event marked a turning point, not just a discussion, but a platform for change.

What parents told us.

Parents shared powerful insights:

  • Flexible, affordable childcare is critical.

  • Long hours and presenteeism make parenting invisible.

  • Flexible working patterns, job shares, and open managers can make all the difference.

  • Initiatives exist but they need visibility, support, and scale.

From Summit to action.

Family Futures will continue to showcase stories, pilot programmes and resources that help parents and the organisations who employ them, design better ways of working.

Our first ongoing project is The Reset Project @ Family Futures, funded by Media Cymru.
